Sewing Pattern Directory

Discovering sewing patterns that are easy to follow and have a cute fit can sometimes be a little tricky.

Throughout my sewing journey I've learnt it's nice to have a pattern that's simple to follow, with clear instructions and a sew along is always a bonus.

Size inclusivity, the option for pdf printing, the ability to adjust, customise and get creative are all things sewists want from their patterns.

Below are a list of sewing brands whose patterns I've sewn with in whimsy fabrics and will come back to time and time again.

  • Tilly & The Buttons

Beginner friendly patterns with jargon busters and sew alongs. There is so much to love about Tilly & The Buttons. My favourite patterns are Jaime, Cleo, Erin, Billie, Joe & Stevie.

  • Common Stitch

Australian made & eco-friendly sewing patterns. The Fawn dress was one of the very first dresses that I made, it's a classic silhoutte and one I have sewn so many times.

  • Matchy Matchy Sewing Club

Matchy Matchy Sewing Club is a playground of discovery for everyone who loves to sew and anyone who's ever wanted to! The Weekender Chore Shorts and Collage Gather Dress are ones I've revisted and are on high rotation in my wardrobe.

  • Petite Dressmaker

Brisbane based seamstress turned pattern maker, Steph's sewing patterns are cute, quirky and super easy to create. Lovenia is a favourite of mine!

  • Peppermint Magazine

Peppermint are passionate about all things craft, creativity and community and they have a huge range of gorgeous sewing patterns! One of my favorites is the Stamford Set which is an artist collaboration with Sew To Grow.

  • Hubba Ding

New Zealand based, Hubba Ding sewing patterns are designed to make you feel darn good! The Penelope top is one that I have created and LOVE!

  • Lowland Kids

Sewing patterns for adults and kids, Lowland kids have great patterns for comfort and loungewear.

  • Small Museum

Inspired by vintage fabrics, textiles, and patterns of era’s gone by and nostalgia for old California. Small Museum patterns are frilly, fun and quirky.

  • Spaghetti Western

Spaghetti Western Patterns are inspired by vintage styles re-interpreted into unfussy comfortable garments that are fun to sew and even more fun to wear.
